Careers

We are hiring. Help us build the data platform for college athletics.

We are a small, focused, remote-first team building serious infrastructure for college athletic departments. We have a handful of open roles — and on a team this size, your work is visible and matters from day one.

Our mission

Unify the fan data college athletics has been sitting on.

Every college athletic department sits on a goldmine of fan data — scattered across ticketing, donations, email, and a dozen systems that do not talk to each other. Our mission is to unify it, so every department can actually understand and serve the fans, donors, and alumni who power them. We are building the data backbone for an entire industry, and we are just getting started.

What it is like to work here.

Everyone here ships product.

No matter your role — sales, design, operations, or engineering — every team member writes code and adds to the product. We are an engineering-driven team, and the best ideas come from the people closest to the work. You will grow your technical range here no matter where you start.

Small team, big problem

We are a focused group building infrastructure that touches every college athletic department. Everyone's work is visible and matters immediately.

Rust-first engineering

We chose Rust because it is the right tool — not because it is trendy. If you care about correctness and performance, you will fit right in.

Deep domain, real customers

We work directly with athletic departments and understand their actual problems. Real pain, real feedback, no abstract roadmap theater.

Remote-first, async by default

We hire for output, not presence. Work from wherever you think best. We meet intentionally and communicate clearly in writing.

Benefits & perks

How we take care of our team.

Team trips around the world

Every year we bring the whole team together somewhere new around the world. Seeing each other in person — and seeing a bit of the world together — is part of what makes this team this team.

Team-building events

Regular team-building events keep a remote-first crew genuinely connected, not just coordinated. We invest real time in the relationships behind the work.

Meaningful equity

Every team member shares in the upside. You are an owner here, not just an employee.

Health coverage

Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family.

Flexible time off

Take the time you need to recharge. We hire adults and trust you to manage your own time.

Home-office stipend

A budget to build a workspace that works for you — wherever in the world that happens to be.

Rust Engineer

Engineering · Remote (US) · Full-time

Build the Rust core — API, ETL, and entity resolution — that powers every athvin deployment.

What you will do
  • Build and maintain our Axum/Tokio API and background ETL services
  • Work across the DuckDB query layer and the feather-flow SQL transformation engine
  • Profile and optimize hot paths — we chose Rust for correctness and performance, and we mean it
  • Design clean, well-tested abstractions in our shared crates
What we are looking for
  • Strong Rust, or a strong systems background (C++, Go) and genuine eagerness to go deep in Rust
  • Experience with async Rust (Tokio) and designing REST APIs
  • Comfort with SQL and a real concern for data correctness
  • A bias toward simple, maintainable solutions over clever ones

Data Engineer

Engineering · Data · Remote (US) · Full-time

Build the pipelines that turn messy, siloed source-system data into clean, unified fan records.

What you will do
  • Design and own ETL pipelines that ingest ticketing, CRM, email, and donation data
  • Model data with SQL and our feather-flow transformation framework
  • Drive data quality, testing, and observability across the pipeline
  • Work with Parquet, object storage, and DuckDB in a columnar, in-memory stack
What we are looking for
  • Strong SQL and data-modeling fundamentals
  • Hands-on ETL / pipeline experience and an instinct for data quality
  • Familiarity with columnar formats (Parquet) and warehouse concepts
  • Python or Rust a plus; interest in identity resolution a bigger one

Sales Engineer

Go-to-Market · Remote (US) · Full-time

Be the technical bridge between athvin and athletic departments — run demos, scope integrations, and turn data problems into clear solutions.

What you will do
  • Lead technical demos using a prospect's actual data, not canned slides
  • Scope source-system integrations and map them to athletic departments' real workflows
  • Build proof-of-concepts and partner with engineering to close the loop on feedback
  • Support onboarding so new customers see unified fan records quickly
What we are looking for
  • A technical foundation — you can talk APIs, data models, and SQL credibly
  • Customer-facing experience and a talent for translating technical to plain English
  • Comfort owning the technical side of a sales conversation end to end
  • Interest in college athletics or sports data a strong plus
